Having been gifted with a rich artistic heritage, Jim has been painting since childhood. He has developed his own unique style, realistically depicting the beauty found in his own local landscapes of Sonoma County, California. But, he has not limited himself to this area. His love of backpacking has taken him into the Sierras and the Marble Mountains of California and Utah. Each locale lends itself to its own extraordinary portrayal of beauty, which he delights to capture on his canvases.
